“God Knows You”: October Between After-School Programs, Teenagers and New Study Support
October was a month full of educational activities, spiritual gatherings and new opportunities to help children in need.
After-School Programs
Throughout the month we continued running our two after-school programs, giving children an environment where they can receive educational support, socialize and take part in personal development activities.
As part of these programs we also organized Bible Club activities, through which we aim to introduce children to Christian values and biblical truths in a way that suits their age.
This month reminded us once again how important the continuity of these programs is and how much they can impact children’s lives.
Teenagers’ Meeting – October 9
On October 9 we organized a meeting for teenagers, attended by 13 young people.
The theme was the life of Nathanael, one of Jesus’ disciples. We talked about his character and, in particular, about the truth that God sees us, knows us and understands who we truly are, even when others don’t know our story.
Our goal was to help the teenagers understand that a relationship with God begins with a personal encounter with Him, and that each of them is known and loved by God.
To go deeper into the message, we watched together an episode of The Chosen, the one in which Jesus meets and calls Nathanael.
It was a wonderful opportunity for learning, reflection and growing closer to the values of the Christian faith.
Support for Two High School Students
One of the most important achievements of the month was identifying two situations in which we could give practical help to two young people who are continuing their high school education but face financial difficulties related to accommodation.
First case – 9th-grade student in Iași – Bogdanel
He is the son of a Christian family we know, whom we helped build a well last month. The boy has been accepted into a high school in Iași, but continuing his studies involves additional rent expenses. After identifying this need, we decided to step in and help him keep studying without financial difficulties becoming an obstacle.
Second case – 10th-grade student in Vaslui
The second beneficiary is a 10th-grade student in Vaslui who is in a similar situation and needs financial help to pay his rent.
After assessing both situations, we signed an agreement with each beneficiary through which CHEDES AGAPE commits to supporting them financially every month until the end of the 2026–2027 school year.
We believe that investing in these young people’s education means investing in their future. Our desire is that a lack of financial resources will not prevent them from continuing their studies and developing their potential.
Gratitude and a Little Concern
October also brought a difficult personal moment.
During one of the Bible Club sessions I had an epileptic seizure.
By God’s grace I am doing well, and the medical tests, including an MRI and an EEG, showed no abnormalities.
We thank God for His protection and for allowing the work to continue.
Looking Ahead
We believe that every child deserves a chance, every teenager needs guidance, and every young person should be able to continue their education, regardless of their family’s financial situation.
Through CHEDES AGAPE we want to keep building relationships, offering practical help and investing in the lives of children and young people, both educationally and spiritually.
My family and I would like to thank everyone for their support and for their involvement in the work we carry out through CHEDES AGAPE.
Every contribution helps us reach children and families in our community, offering them not only material and educational support, but also the opportunity to know God.
Thank you for being part of this mission!
God bless you all!
